Cody Tupps grew up in Byers, Colorado; a small town 30 miles east of Denver. He graduated from Metropolitan State College of Denver with a degree in History and a minor in business management. During Cody’s college years he started attending New Life Church where he came to know Jesus Christ. Cody began serving right away and over time became a high school small group leader, a college/young adult leader and eventually a youth intern for New Life Church. All the while Cody was working in the banking and financial world and God was blessing those efforts as well. Cody eventually became a store manager for a large bank.
Cody was introduced to his beautiful wife, Kristen, by a mutual friend and married her two years later to the day. They now have three little boys, Gracen, Jackson, and Bryson. Early on in Cody’s life he vowed he would never live in Kansas and he would never live in a small town. And where do you think God led them? To Kristen’s home town of Sharon Springs, KS. Population 800!
In February of 2008 Cody quit his job as Vice President of the bank he was working at to follow God’s call into full time ministry, his true passion. Cody served at Sharon Springs Wesleyan Church as Pastor of Student Ministries for a little over 5 years; where he saw teens come to know Christ; others learn how to follow Jesus Daily, and so much more that he doesn’t even know about. God worked in many ways and Cody looks back on his time in Sharon Springs Wesleyan Church as a huge blessing and growth period in his life. Cody and Kristen have been at The Ransom Church since January of 2012.
