I ask for the peace of God to rest on my family. Remind us that we are truly known and loved by you. You collect our tears and not one has fallen that you haven’t seen. I ask this not only for me and my children but for my siblings and their families as well. To all who have been brave enough to post their own and those that still carry that burden. May God’s peace rest within you. My FOO used intimidation, belittling, physical violence, infidelity, manipulation (you get the picture) in a way to control our narrative. I lived most of my childhood in fear. Yet, from the outside no one knew what was really happening. We all experienced trauma. I pray that my FOO’s generational sins will not be repeated. That my siblings and I can stop blaming ourselves for what happened to us. That we press into our true identities in Christ.
