Guest Services + Care Pastor

(full-time, 40 hours per week)

Reports to: Executive Director of Connections

Purpose: The Connections Department exists to lead and encourage attendees to be fully integrated into the church’s mission. Connections also serves to shepherd the church and provide meaningful care to the attendees as needed.

The Guest Services and Care Pastor’s role is to bring leadership and strategy to pastoral care within the Connections Department. This individual will work with staff and volunteers to facilitate the appropriate processes so that every individual receives the pastoral care they need and every stage in their relationship with Ransom Church.

Guest Services/GateKeepers 35%

• Invite/recruit Guest Service Team Members and Leaders
• Invite/recruit Gatekeeper Team Members and Team Leaders
• Connect with and follow through on appropriate training for the above teams
• Oversee the health and vision alignment of each Guest Service and Gatekeeper team
• Ensure proper execution of Guest Service and Gatekeeper tasks and projects

Pastoral/Leadership Duties 30%

• Perform weddings/funerals when needed and coordinate all wedding/funeral pastoral arrangements connected to Ransom Church
• Provide pastoral care when needed (hospital/shut-in visits, pastoral counseling, etc.) and facilitate our overall care processes
• Lead the following volunteer teams: Prayer, Visitation, Marriage Mentors

Staff Responsibilities: 35%

• Meets regularly with the Executive Director for coaching and strategy development
• Appointments as needed/requested
• Enter into biblical community through consistent involvement in one-on-one discipleship relationships and/or a group
• Periodic Compassion/Service event participation
• Attend required staff/team meetings
• Check email, SLACK, Click-up, + voicemail and respond within 24 hours during the workweek
