Facilities Manager

(janitorial + maintenance)

Reports to:  Executive Pastor

Purpose: To ensure Ransom Church buildings and grounds are ready/available for the needs of ministries, groups, and staff.  This includes working with partner companies to keep our buildings and grounds clean, safe, and maintained.

Leadership Duties: 25%

  • Recruit, lead, and oversee facilities volunteer team
  • Manage relationships with various companies. These include, but are not limited to, cleaning, alarm, janitorial, and snow companies.
  • Maintain expenditures related to facilities and grounds to keep under the approved budget. This includes submitting receipts and invoices for payment promptly.
  • Work with the Executive Pastor to report problems, solutions, and costs associated with projects not approved in the budget.
  • Work with the Executive Pastor to implement Senior Staff facility decisions (ex: flooring installation, painting, etc.)
  • Coordinate with Central Services to ensure the facilities calendar is accurate.

Facilities/Grounds Management: 55%

  • Manage facility usage and coordinate with outside vendors to complete any maintenance, repair, or inspection that is outside of the facilities director’s skill set
  • Work with appropriate government agencies to ensure all buildings are safe and meet current building code requirements.
  • Maintain all building codes and keys for all locations
  • Maintain appropriate backstock of building supplies (light bulbs, filters, tools, etc..)
  • Conduct weekly and monthly facilities walk-throughs
  • Assist, as needed, in any construction/remodel projects at campuses
  • Responsible for ensuring that the building is ready for use for regular weekly and outside events (Sunday, weddings, funerals, all staff meetings, etc..)
  • Serve as primary contact for all building-related control systems
  • Schedule and complete basic maintenance needs on facilities (painting, ceiling tile replacement, wall repair, filter change, etc…)

Staff Responsibilities: 20%

  • Meets regularly with the Executive Director for coaching and strategy development
  • Checks email, Click Up & voicemail, and responds within 24 hours during the workweek
  • Appointments as needed/requested
  • Enter into a one-on-one discipleship relationship and/or group
  • Periodic compassion/service event participation
  • Attending required staff/team meetings
