Pastor of Biblical Community

Reports to: Executive Director of Development
Purpose: The Pastor of Biblical Community exists to fulfill our mission objective of equipping people to Live Free of Sin through Biblical community, including but not limited to Groups, affinity ministries (Young adult, Senior adult, Freedom etc), discipleship, and classes
Biblical Community 50%
- Provide lead communication and execution for Groups
- Develop a robust team and leadership for Groups and Group Coaches
- Facilitate people finding Biblical community through a variety of means (Groups, discipleship, serving teams, classes)
- Lead periodic public push for group attendance
- Coordinate all group leader relationships/ provide leaders with all they need to succeed
- Maintain discipleship relationships, curriculum, and best practices
Ministry Leadership: 30%
- Serve as point leadership for all ministries housed at Ransom Church. Including but not limited to young adults, senior adults, freedom, men’s, women’s etc.
- Establish meaningful relationships for coaching and resourcing ministry leaders
- Identify, empower, and equip Ransom attendees to take steps into growing and developing new ministry horizons
- Develop and implement Class environments to foster spiritual growth during key seasons of life and the church calendar
Staff Responsibilities: 20%
- Meets regularly with the Executive Director of Development for coaching and strategy
- Appointments as needed/requested
- Checks email, SLACK & voicemail and responds within 24 hours during the workweek
- To enter into a one-on-one discipleship relationship and/or group.
- Periodic Compassion/Service event participation
- Attending required staff/team meetings
