My fourteen year old niece has been battling depression and has found community with a group of kids that is encouraging her to declare she’s non-binary. She’s asked to start binding and going by they/them. Her parents, although not believers, understand that this is her way of wanting to fit in. I am broken over her - wanting her to know the true belonging of Jesus. I used to think that mental illness was for everyone but me. I was having weeks of being very energetic and not requiring much sleep. And then there were weeks where I was so depressed exhausted and all I wanted to do was sleep and I didn't understand why? So I went to my doctor explaining how I have good weeks being energetic and not requiring much sleep. And how I have .bad weeks when I am depressed, exhausted and just want to sleep - those weeks I don't want to see anyone or talk to anyone.
I went to see my doctor.
She listened to me.
She mentioned I could be Bipolar. So she referred me to a psychologist and she made the diagnosis. Yes, I'm Bipolar. I was then referred to a psychiatrist who can prescribe medication.. I have been on 25 mg of lamoTRIigine for 2 weeks and I've never felt so good. .. I.n the future imy medication might be increased but for now it's doing great. I just wished I would have thought about going to the doctor and discussing this with her before. now.
But that's in the past which I can leave in the past. I don't have to worry about the future.--God has great plans for us. God only wants us to enjoy the present . A gift that God gives us each day.
I'm sorry this prayer got so long. I pray that all who need help coping with life will seek it
Go see your doctor. If needed your doctor will refer to a psychologist who will refer you to a psychiatrist.

It has been one challenge, one problem after another. All the issues with my ear, the tumor, as issue with mammogram that turned out to be nothing, my knee and most recently my job and waiting to hear on social security. Through it all I have felt the prayers, have felt God's presence and seen and felt the positive outcomes. He has turned everyone of those challenges around, they have all had "sense of relief" moments. I have lifted up thanks and praise so many times. He IS so faithful. I know that with the upcoming trials I have coming that he will be there with me to see me through. Thank you for all the prayers!! Thanks so very much for all the prayers Troy was able to come home today to finish his recovery praise Jesus Since Steeven’s last visit to Mayo for an EMU stay, epilepsy monitoring unit, his tonic clonic seizures have continued, but his focal seizures, staring spells, have lessened. I also think the new medication he is on has reduced the length of his tonic clonic seizures, but still is not working as it needs to.
We are waiting to get scheduled for pre surgical evaluation. Hopefully we can go soon. Pray specially that they can get the MRI w/ sedation scheduled for November 9th. If they can, we already have our next EMU stay scheduled for November 10th. The MRI needs to be done first and right now the next available time is late December.
Please pray for Steeven’s safety while we wait, so far no major injuries have occurred during his seizures, but they are happening often enough that he is scared afterwards.
Also, we please pray as we make decisions about his school day, do we send him back full-time or keep his day shortened until we get his seizures under control. My dear friend, John Sagherian, Iives in Beirut, Lebanon, and has worked for Youth for Christ for 50 years! He is extremely close to where Hezbollah is firing into Israel. Please pray for John as he continues to faithfully serve Christ in the midst of this war. He is a treasure to me‼️ My friend, Pat has had,3 episodes when her words don't make sense
